Cardiff University - reduced design time by 78%

In a joint study, the team explored a new design method using artificial neural networks (ANN). The Catapult validated the design approach through experimental tests on a GaN based single-phase inverter that was created using the specified design. The new method reduced design times for technology by up to 78%, compared to traditional approaches, and was used to create a device with an efficiency over 98%. The team secured two journal publications from the project.
